কুকি-চিন ন্যাশনাল ফ্রন্টের (কেএনএফ) সদস্যরা সামরিক প্রশিক্ষণ নেয় দুই দেশে – বাংলাদেশ ও মিয়ানমার। এই প্রশিক্ষণে ভারতের মিজোরামে তাত্ত্বিক ও শারীরিক প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়, এবং মিয়ানমারে বিচ্ছিন্নতাবাদী গ্রুপের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধের মাধ্যমে প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করা হয়। এই প্রশিক্ষণে বেশি সংখ্যক সদস্য নিহত হয়েছে। কুকি-চিন সদস্যরা ভয়ানক স্বয়ংক্রিয় অস্ত্রে সজ্জিত এবং লোকাল অপরাধে অংশগ্রহণ করে। কুকি-চিনের সদস্যরা বাংলাদেশে ডাকাতি, লুটপাট, চাঁদাবাজি ইত্যাদি অপকর্মে অংশগ্রহণ করে এবং ব্যাংক ডাকাতি, থানা ও বাজারে আক্রমণ ও লুটপাটে সক্ষম হয়। গত বছর থেকে এ পর্যন্ত প্রতিরোধে অভিযান চালিয়ে কেএনএফ ও জঙ্গি সংগঠনের সদস্যসহ ৯৯ জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে।
